Emergency services were called to the crash at the junction of the A36 and Branch Road just after 7.30pm on Wednesday, 21st May. The road was closed in both directions following the two-car collision, which involved a silver Ford Fiesta and a grey Dacia Duster. Members of the public were helping at the scene of the collision upon the arrival of the emergency services. Both drivers were taken to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing. The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was seen landing nearby. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.” Collision investigators examined the scene and the road reopened by 1.15am this morning, Thursday 22nd May.
