Work has continued to progress
Work has continued to progress on the A36 at Limpley Stoke.
Since March we've completed:
- the concrete capping beam that sits on top of the piles and provides the foundation for a new vehicle barrier
- kerb drainage on the southbound carriageway
The two-way traffic lights will need to remain in place on the A36 at Limpley Stoke until the end of June and the traffic will switch to using the southbound carriageway in mid-May.
The work programme has been extended after some additional areas of work were identified. Compensation grouting was needed to help secure the rock mesh in the uphill embankment.
Work to be completed between May and the end of June includes:
- Drainage and kerb installation on the northbound carriageway
- Re-surfacing and line marking
- installing a vehicle barrier
- installing fencing
